An Emergency Summit for Change

2020 Dates and Location TBC

It’s a time of turmoil and change

The probable departure from the EU and it’s aftermath continues to dominate the headlines.

Combined with the threat of imminent climate change and ongoing environmental degradation, growing inequality and deepening divides, this is an increasingly uncertain time.

A better future already exists

Individuals, organisations and networks across the UK are already creating a future that’s more inclusive, collaborative, and aims to benefit everyone.

We share many core values but what we lack is voice and coordination.

We are too often fragmented within our own silos.

Shaping our future together

We are an ecosystem of many parts working to reform the system and build practical alternatives.

Our aim is to shift political, economic and cultural power away from the status quo.

Our purpose is for UK communities to be able to create our futures together.

About

CTRLshift: An Emergency Summit for Change 2 took place this year in Stoke on Trent over 8-10 May 2019.

CTRLshift seeks to catalyse a network of change-making organisations, networks and independent practitioners, creating a movement for positive social, economic and environmental change.

We are developing a shared agenda to shift power over our democracy, economy and environment to people and communities across Britain.

Lets get the whole system in the room.

We welcome organisations and individuals at CTRLshift. If you’re representing an organisation, we encourage you to send a diverse delegation, ideally made up of those with agency to make a difference internally and externally.

If you’re an individual, come as you are. We welcome social entrepreneurs, changemakers, activists and independent practitioners among others.

CTRLshift is about collaboration across sectors, about big picture thinking. The change we seek embraces everything from social justice issues to climate change; a new economy to a more open democracy. We want representatives of the whole system in the room.

Voices from CTRLshift

Location

2019s event was held at Potbank, Spode Works, Elenora Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST41QE

The venue was situated at Spode Works, a pottery factory that forms a key part of Stoke-On-Trent’s industrial heritage, now being redeveloped and reimagined as a hub of the arts and micro-industry. We chose Stoke for our second CTRLshift Summit due to both its rich past and its great potential!

2020s location will be announced soon!
